Thurston mastery on show at NRL All Stars match

Thankfully for NRL fans it appears to be a case of a new year but the same Johnathan Thurston.

The man who’s on his way to being recognised as the greatest of all time reminded everyone of how good he is with a man-of-the-match performance for the Indigenous All Stars team in their win over the World All Stars on Friday night.

No moment better summed up his mastery than a brilliant kick which gifted a try to teammate Dane Gagai.

After weighing up his options, JT again chose the right option by landing an inch-perfect kick onto the chest of Gagai.

Gagai himself looked shocked by how easy Thurston had made things for him.

NSW Blues fans might not be as happy to see this from the Queensland great, but even they would have to admit Thurston’s skillset is a thing of beauty.
