Tigers fullback James Tedesco gets hit in bone crunching tackle against Penrith

It was the moment that shook Campbelltown Stadium and one that star Wests Tigers fullback James Tedesco probably wishes he was never part of.

In the late stages of the first half against Penrith, and with the Tigers on the back foot, Panthers halfback Nathan Cleary put up a bomb.

Tedesco ran in to defuse it but the ball had enough hang time to allow Panthers chasers Leilani Latu and Viliame Kikau to get down there and make things interesting.

The Tigers fullback had no choice but to take the kick and was immediately sent backwards off his feet in a huge hit as the defence converged.

Kikau made sure Tedesco was aware of his presence before the Tigers fullback rose slowly to his feet and play continued.

It continued a long afternoon for the home team who were blown off the park 36-2 by the Panthers.
