It was the final minute miracle that secured NSW's consecutive State of Origin titles, but the star of the moment assures he was just in "the right place at the right time".

James Tedesco capping off his stellar series performance with an unbelievable final minute try to dash Queensland's own spirited late comeback at ANZ Stadium in the Origin decider on Wednesday night.

"I was lucky enough to be in the right spot at the right time," Tedesco told Nine.

"To score that try in our home state, in front of our home fans in Sydney it was pretty special."

Luckily for Blues fans the moment becomes even more special, viewing the spectacle from the best seat in the house, the referee's head cam.

Tedesco was also awarded the Wally Lewis Medal as the 2019 State of Origin player of the series on top of his man of the match accolade.
