Women's State of Origin: Kick-off time, teams, everything you need to know

As the men's NSW Blues and Queensland Maroons wage war in a final decider at Suncorp Stadium, it's time for the game's female heroes to lay it all on the line in the Women's State of Origin.

The interstate rivalry between the women of NSW and Queensland dates back to 1999 but wasn't officially called the State of Origin until 2018.

The battle for top honours is held over just one match, as both sides lay it all on the line in a do-or-die, winner takes all clash.

NSW are the current State of Origin champions with four consecutive titles. Prior to that, Queensland held onto the trophy for a dominating 17 years.

When?

The Women's State of Origin will take place on Friday, November 13 at 7:45pm.

Where?

The Women's State of Origin will be held at Sunshine Coast Stadium in Queensland. The match has officially been declared a sell-out.

The Nellie Doherty Cup

NSW and Queensland will fight for the the Nellie Doherty Cup with the player of the match awarded the Nellie Doherty medal.

Previous winners of the medal include NSW pair Maddie Studdon (2019) and Isabelle Kelly (2018).
