Sharks free of fatigue: Flanagan

Cronulla coach Shane Flanagan insists his NRL premiership frontrunners are showing no sign of fatigue despite the testing State of Origin period.

The Sharks go into Saturday's NRL showdown with Parramatta riding the crest of a wave after 11 straight wins that has rocketed them to the top of the ladder

But it would appear their resilience is about to be tested coming off an 87-minute golden point thriller against the Warriors last week.

They have now scraped home by three points or less in each of their previous three games.

Sides this year have sometimes struggled to back up after playing golden point the previous week but Flanagan said his charges were showing no ill effects, including his stack of Origin stars.

Asked if he had knocked his troops around, Flanagan said: "I don't think it did.

"Coming off the bye, we were a bit slow to start last week, we've done that twice now.

"Coming off the first bye we were a bit slow to start against the Bulldogs.

"Last week's game didn't take too much out of them, there were no real injuries, everyone's trained all week.

"Gal had a bit of a groin strain going into the Warriors games but has trained all week. So touch wood everyone's fit and healthy for tomorrow."
