Manly's horror NRL season has reached a new low after star hooker Api Koroisau was ruled out for up to 10 weeks with a broken foot.

Koroisau, who's been one of the Sea Eagles' best so far in 2018, lasted just 15 minutes in the Sea Eagles' heavy loss to the Warriors before being substituted.

Scans on Monday confirmed Koroisau had fractured his foot, with coach Trent Barrett likely to lean on veteran Lewis Brown to fill the No.9 role in Saturday's clash with St George Illawarra.

The Sea Eagles also have former Parramatta utility Cody Nelson on their reserve grade books, while youngster Manase Fainu could also be handed a debut.

The Koroisau blow lifts Manly's injury toll to six, joining first-choice players Dylan Walker (face), Curtis Sironen (knee), Lachlan Croker (knee), Kelepi Tanginoa (knee) and Jack Gosiewski (arm).

The Sea Eagles have lost seven of their past nine matches to sit in 13th spot and face a challenging six-week period that includes matches against Penrith (twice), St George Illawarra and Melbourne.
