Burgess under fire for driving Instagram video
South Sydney star Sam Burgess has come under fire for posting a video to Instagram that he had filmed while driving.
The Rabbitohs hard man used his account to post a video he secretly shot of his wife, Phoebe, sitting in the passenger seat of a car singing along to Cold Chisel's Khe Sanh on Saturday night.
When his wife realises she’s being filmed, Burgess turns the camera back onto himself in the clip which also includes footage of his hand on the wheel.
He has since taken it down after being criticised by many of his followers.
The Rabbitohs star was condemned for filming the video behind the wheel by NSW Roads Minister Duncan Gay, who told Fairfax Burgess “should be setting a better example”.
Police have been cracking down on mobile phone use in recent years with anyone in NSW caught using their phone behind the wheel facing a $319 fine and four demerit points.
