Panther Blake rides rollercoaster against Broncos

Penrith centre Waqa Blake managed to fit a staggering amount into his 26 minutes on the park last night.

he started off the night inauspiciously, bombing a certain try only six minutes in.

With the line open and no one in front of him he dropped a perfect pass from fullback Matt Moylan.

But a minute later he more than made up for the drop by not only diffusing a kicked, but picking up the ball and dashing 100m to open his account for the night.

The try clearly gave him some confidence and he was terrorising the Brisbane defence there after.

But as soon as things started looking up, his night was over when he was knocked out cold after hitting the ground hard when coming down from an attempted catch.

Waqa had gone up for the catch over Broncos winger Corey Oates, but as he was catching it Oates inadvertently swept Blake's feet from under him and Blake came down hard on his back.

His head hit the ground hard,recoiled and immediately it was clear the Panther was out cold.

Other players raced to his aid and quickly put him in the recovery position before he eventually came to and was helped off the park by medical staff.

But he had set the Panthers on their way to victory and the Chocolate Soldiers eventually ran out 31-12 winners.

But he was up an about to celebrate with is teammates in the locker rooms after the match.
