'Hate youse': Olivia Kernick's cheeky message for Maroons after collecting Nellie Doherty Medal
NSW Blues forward Olivia Kernick had a series to remember in the Origin arena as she was awarded the Nellie Doherty Medallist as the player of the series for 2025.
The 24-year-old forward was an essential force in the middle for the Blues throughout the series, having featured in the starting line up in all three matches.
Kernick's impressive display in game two saw her finish the match with two tries and a player of the match award.

Last year's Dally M Medallist could not help but take a cheeky swipe at her rivals as she was presented the award following a four-point loss in Newcastle.

"To the Queensland girls, it was an unreal game - hate youse," she laughed.
"Thank you our friends and family, the coaching staff, we wouldn't be able to get the series win without you. To my girls, I've had so much fun the last few weeks. Honestly, we have had so many things happen personally to us.
My favourite thing about this campaign is we've gotten around each other and we've been there for each other every step of the way.
"I've had so much fun with you guys and really proud."
