Knights, Eels to make history as boilover victory ensures NRLW will crown maiden winner in 2022
Parramatta and Newcastle will make history in a week's time when the two clubs contest the NRLW grand final.
The Eels and Knights have both won through to the premiership decider for the first time, and the competition will have a maiden winner by next Sunday evening.
The NRLW grand final has only ever featured three teams - the Broncos, Roosters, and Dragons.

Brisbane won the first three iterations of the competition, before the Roosters rolled the Dragons in the 2021 decider, which was delayed to the start of this year.

But on Sunday at Suncorp Stadium the Eels stunned minor premiers the Roosters to win the semi-final 24-4 in a major upset, while the Knights dominated the Dragons to secure their berth.
The Roosters had been favourites to win the grand final but now won't even get to contest it thanks to a stunning performance from Parramatta.

The Knights shocked the competition this year after finishing last in their debut season earlier in 2022.
They have only lost one game on their way to the grand final, and on Sunday asserted their dominance over St George Illawarra with a 30-6 victory.

Gun fullback Tamika Upton was the star of the show, scoring two tries and producing a number of strong carries from deep in her own half.
"It's good to be back with the girls," a reserved Upton told Nine after the game.
She is one of a number of big-name recruits who have lifted the Hunter club to success this campaign, alongside captain Millie Boyle.
Boyle won last season's Dally M Medal - a tie with Dragons fullback Emma Tonegato - before leaving the Broncos with Upton and moving down south.
It was some staunch defence on their own goal-line that was most impressive about the Newcastle performance on Sunday, before a Kiana Takairangi try put the result to bed.
"Champagne rugby league," Nine caller Peter Psaltis said after that four-pointer.
NRLW great Allana Ferguson agreed, saying, "this is beautiful, beautiful footy".
The grand final will be played at Accor Stadium on Sunday, and kick-off is scheduled to be 3.55pm.
The game will be broadcast on Nine as part of the grand final day coverage.
