NRL match review committee fines Mulitalo

Cronulla winger Ronaldo Mulitalo will escape with a fine of $1150 if he accepts an early plea after copping a contrary conduct charge by the match review committee.

The charge relates to the highly-rated youngster's contact after tackling Penrith winger Josh Mansour in the 69th-minute of the Panthers' victory over the Sharks.

Mansour's eye required attention following the incident.

Mulitalo's 2019 form earned him a new contract earlier this week, confirming he will remain a Shark until at least the end of the 2021 season.

Should he unsuccessfully challenge the ruling, Mulitalo will have to pay $1500.
