NRL: Johnathan Thurston flattens Titans big-man in final game

Johnathan Thurston has wound back the clock in his final NRL game to put a thunderous hit on Titans big-man Ryan James.

The diminutive Cowboys star looked a pillar of strength on Saturday night as he got down low to lay out the burly forward in the first half.

The hit sent the capacity crowd at Robina Stadium into pandemonium as fans flocked to Twitter in disbelief.

The Cowboys entered the sheds down 18-6 at the half but returned to reel in the Titans within a four-point lead.
