Canberra Raiders fullback Brad Abbey stretchered off in win over Canterbury Bulldogs

There was a scary moment in anberra's miraculous victory over the Bulldogs with fullback Brad Abbey stretched off the field before the game-winning try.

With minutes to spare Abbey was tackled and thrown to the ground with his head accidentally banging into the turf.

Instantly players from both sides appeared to know the injury was serious, and cleared the area and called for help.

Medical staff came on the field to assist and carry Abbey off to an applause from the well-wishing Belmore Oval crowd. 

Later it is understood he was diagnosed with a concussion but thankfully was "up and about" following the thrilling finish to the game.

The Raiders kept their season alive with a massive comeback victory over Canterbury, scoring two late tries to steal the 32-28 win.
