Former Sydney Swan Nick Davis had an NRL Nines debut to forget when the Penrith Panthers scored a record win over Davis' Sydney Roosters, 35-0.

Viliame Kikau got the game off to a flyer with a 70 metre try in the first 40 seconds of the match.

Kikau had two tries to his name when the second-half ended as Brent Naden and Josh Mansour continued the momentum with tries of their in the following half.

But overall, it was a tough day out for Davis and the Roosters who were unable to hit the scoreboard.

For Davis, he failed to have much impact in the match, only recording one tackle to his stat-sheet.

The former AFL star was given the opportunity to show off his big boot when he kicked for touch.

Davis notched close to 50 metres on the kick, handing the ball to the Roosters in attacking territory.

But his side was unable to do much when they immediately turned the ball over, handing possession back to the Panthers.
