Tom Trobjevic injured again in ‘gut-wrenching’ Manly blow
Tom Trbojevic could be set for another stint on the sidelines after he suffered a fresh hamstring injury in his right leg in Manly’s 38-32 loss to the Titans.
It is a scene that has become all too familiar for the star Sea Eagles fullback, forced to depart the field early due to a hamstring issue.

Trbojevic missed seven weeks earlier this season due to a left hamstring strain. On Sunday, he sparked concern after he strained his right hamstring.
Manly were just seconds away from setting up Trobjevic to make a storming run down the sideline, but he slipped over his feet and was unable to collect the ball.
Trbojevic immediately looked disappointed in his actions as he returned to his feet, but he then began to walk towards the sidelines and head down the tunnel.
“That’s devastating, you can see the frustration... you can see how disappointed he is, that’s gut-wrenching, it’s so sad,” Michael Ennis said on Fox League.
“It is devastating that his body can’t give him the freedom (to stay healthy).”
Manly staff confirmed that the initial diagnosis was a minor strain, although Trbojevic will need to undergo scans to confirm the severity of his injury.
While the No.1 had his head in his hands as he limped to the sheds, his teammate Jason Saab powered over the tryline to alert the Titans that even though Manly’s star had departed the field, the visitors have what it takes to claim victory.
Jamal Fogarty was unable to convert Saab’s efforts, bringing the score to 14-10.
But leading into the break, the Titans hit back in style as Oliver Pascoe, Jojo Fifita and AJ Brimson all scored to make it a 28-14 lead at half time.
Brimson grounded the ball millimetres before the dead-ball line to give the hosts a commanding lead at Cbus Super Stadium.
Haumole Olakau’atu and Beau Fermor were the first to go over for their respective sides in the second half, then Reuben Garrick was controversially awarded a try.
Garrick was in a clear offside position when he chased down Fogarty’s kick and went on to score a try, but the Bunker review cleared him of any wrongdoing.
Tino Fa’asuamaleaui was in no mood to see the giant try sign go up on the scoreboard, pleading with referee Adam Gee for consistency in the game.
“It’s so inconsistent, it’s a 10-point game,” the Titans skipper was heard saying.
Minutes later, the Titans lost Dean Ieremia to the sin bin over a hip drop on Tolu Koula. Manly’s Josh Feledy joined him minutes later for a professional foul.
Tries for Jojo Fifita and Koula sealed the result at 38-32 in favour of the Titans.
