Storm winger in nervous wait after sin bin drama for brutal hit
Melbourne winger Moses Leo could be set for a stint on the sidelines after he was sin binned for a high shot in his side’s 46-20 win against Brisbane.
Coming out of his own end, Brisbane’s Jordan Riki was being tackled from behind by Tyran Wishart before Leo came in and didn’t attempt to wrap.

The winger connected with the head of Riki and his departure was inevitable with the sin bin call following.
“It was direct and high, there’s no doubt about that,” Cameron Smith said on Nine.
Leo apologised after the incident as he ran off, but his remorse is unlikely to help him with the match review committee, with at least a sanction on the way. Riki had to leave the field for an HIA.
Leo’s high shot came in the 49th minute when Melbourne was leading 30-10.
A try to Brisbane followed moments later through Ben Hunt to make it 30-14 with the conversion missed.
Hunt’s effort then brought about the first time a side had opted to receive the kick-off after conceding a try.
With nothing on the line, the match between Brisbane and Melbourne was being used as a trial for the new rule.
Seven tries came before Hunt’s with no side opting to receive until Melbourne reversed the trend.
Leo’s departure only cost the Storm four points with two tries coming when he returned.
Sualauvi Faalogo grabbed one while Siulagi Tuimalatu-Brown scored his second of the night.
Ezra Mam crossed for his second in the 74th minute before Riki returned from the HIA test.
The final points came when Tuimalatu-Brown grabbed a Jahrome Hughes cross-kick out of the air and put the ball down for a hat-trick.
The 66 points meant Smith had fallen just short of a 70 points prediction earlier in the match when Nick Meaney made it 12-4 in the 23rd minute.
