The Mole: NRL's Coach Whisperer claims 'subconscious' Payne Haas change made injury blow inevitable
The Broncos are in the midst of a massive injury crisis, no player more so than star prop Payne Haas, who is halfway through a six to eight week layoff with an MCL tear to his knee.
The one person who wasn't surprised by Haas' injury – which will cost him a Blues spot for Origin I – is respected 'Coach Whisperer' Bradley Charles Stubbs, who predicted the injury on social media weeks before it happened.
Stubbs, who has worked with some of the biggest names in Australian sport, believes Haas' injury came as a direct result of his shock defection to South Sydney next season.

"After Payne made the huge decision to leave the Broncos and sign with another team for next year, his subconscious mind energy went from crystal clear to heavy and cloudy," Stubbs told Wide World of Sports.

"When he signed, his energy dropped. I read energy from the subconscious mind and his mind was in a jumbled state. His mind went foggy and heavy and he was not his usual confident, free-running self.
"I have seen this happen with elite athletes before and when it does, the body tenses up and injuries happen.
"Sadly for Payne, it was inevitable that he got hurt and hopefully he can get his mind back on an even keel when he comes back from this setback."

Why Titans cut try machine loose
I have been scathing in recent weeks of the struggling Titans for letting try machine Alofiana Khan-Pereira slip away to the Warriors this season.
The speedy winger has proved a great pick-up for the Wahs, scoring tries for fun.
But it seems the Titans didn't cut Khan-Pereira because they thought he couldn't play.
A Titans source has told me the club wasn't happy with the winger's attitude and some off-field 'issues'.

Clearly, the whole experience proved a turning point for the flyer who has scored two tries in each of his last three games - he's in career-best form for the Wahs and the club is delighted with his professionalism.
Premiership gun on the move?
Speaking of the Titans, the club has told Sam Verrills he won't be re-signed for 2027, and the hooker could even be on the move before June 30.

Tigers unearth Api heir
The Tigers believe they have found the long term successor to Api Koriosau's hooking throne in East Campbelltown junior Jaxson Speechley.
The 17-year-old had a successful campaign for the Tigers in the Harold Matts Cup and has been rewarded with a three-year deal.
Speechley didn't just show talent in the competition, he also showed plenty of toughness - he played with a broken hand in the position that handles the ball more than anyone on the field.
