Storm 'excitement machine' pulls off special move on Origin star to leave Johnathan Thurston in 'disbelief'

Sualauvi Fa'alogo has shown once again why he's a star of the future with a brilliant solo effort for the Storm against the Dolphins.

With 13 minutes left in the first half and Melbourne leading 6-0, Fa'alogo took a kick on the full 15 metres from his line.

"Wouldn't advise that," caller Peter Psaltis immediately said about the kick straight down the fullback's throat.

His comment foreshadowed what lied ahead with Fa'alogo canvassing what was in front of him before accelerating to the right and getting on the outside of Connelly Lemuelu.

The fullback then sprinted away and beat centre Herbie Farnworth before arriving at a one-on-one situation with Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow.

His opposite number chased and reached him before Fa'alogo stepped inside on a wet Suncorp Stadium and ran away to score.

"Oh the footwork, the excitement machine Sua Fa'alogo, the No.1 ticket in town," Psaltis said.

Johnathan Thurston later added he was in "disbelief" at the move Fa'alogo put on Tabuai-Fidow.

"How did he stop on a dime in this weather? Rain coming down, he just made Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow not look great," he said.

The earlier try for the Storm went to Tyran Wishart who sprinted on to a ball and beat two defenders to score.

Wishart's celebration would later turn into pain as he hobbled off the field.

Tabuai-Fidow had fallen on the ankle of Wishart in the tackle. However, it wasn't the hip-drop style tackle, with the awkward fall coming from Wishart spinning around in the tackle.

The Storm halfback was ruled out before half-time with an ankle injury and later spotted in a moon boot.

Wishart had moved to halfback for the Storm after Jahrome Hughes' injury last week.

At half-time, Melbourne led 10-4 with Selwyn Cobbo scoring late for the Dolphins.

In the second half, the home side ran over the top of an out-of-form Melbourne, winning 28-10.

Jack Bostock and Kulikefu Finefeuiaki scored doubles while Jamayne Isaako contributed with the other four-pointer.
