The Dogs are shielding Galvin from the media in Las Vegas. Stephen Crichton assures the youngster is 'switched on'
Bulldogs captain Stephen Crichton has assured fans Lachlan Galvin is "switched on" ahead of Canterbury's clash in Las Vegas, as the club shields the young half from the media under Sin City's bright lights.
The 20-year-old is the only player across the four NRL clubs in Las Vegas — the Bulldogs, Dragons, Cowboys and Knights — who's off limits to the media.
It appears Canterbury wants Galvin to keep a low profile and focus on his football after his turbulent 2025 — a year marred by his ugly split with Wests Tigers and a stretch of games with the Bulldogs in which his performance was repeatedly questioned.

"He's been good," Crichton told 9News at a fan day at Resorts World.
"[He's] probably just [being protected] because he's young, but ... he's been loving it up as well."

Galvin has retained the No.7 jumper for round one, in which the Bulldogs will face the Dragons at Allegiant Stadium on Sunday (AEDT).
The former Australian Schoolboys captain will partner Matt Burton in the halves, with Connor Tracey lining up at fullback and Bailey Hayward at hooker.

"I've been talking to him [Galvin] about how we're going to play this year, and he's been pulling the boys aside throughout this camp as well in Vegas, so [it] shows he's switched on," Crichton added.
The fans at Resort World were so loud as Crichton was being interviewed by 9News' Danny Weidler that the Canterbury skipper had to dip his head towards the veteran reporter as he pinged him with questions.
Much has been made of the English fans being particularly boisterous, many of whom have flocked to Las Vegas to watch Hull KR and Leeds Rhinos square off.
Crichton was asked if the many State of Origin games and NRL grand finals he'd played in had prepared him for Vegas.
"Yeah, 100 per cent," he said.
"But I reckon this is going to bigger and better as well."
