Reece Walsh caught in heated exchange with teammate during Broncos' loss to Titans
Reece Walsh was beaten all ends up by Phillip Sami as the Titans winger produced a stunning solo try during Gold Coast’s pulsating 28-23 win over Brisbane on Saturday night.
And as Broncos players licked their wounds beside the uprights at Suncorp, a heated argument broke out between Walsh and teammate Jack Gosiewski.

Sami plucked a try out of nowhere as the Titans trailed the Broncos 12-6 in the 38th minute.
The Gold Coast flyer brushed through a lousy defensive attempt from Broncos veteran Ben Hunt in the Titans’ half of the field and hurtled down the middle of the paddock.
He then proceeded to get past Walsh so easily that the Broncos superstar seemingly did not get a finger on him.
All up, Sami ran for 70 metres to score what will go down as one of the best individual tries of the season.
Despite having just been embarrassed by the fleet-footed Sami, Walsh turned on Gosiewski as Jayden Campbell lined up his kick for goal.
Gosiewski clapped back, refusing to cop the Clive Churchill Medallist’s spray.
The argument seemingly stemmed from the first Titans try of the night, which was helped in no small part by two glaring Gosiewski blunders.
The second-rower shot out of the line to tackle Klese Haas but failed to make the tackle. Haas then went to pass and it landed in the lap of Gosiewski, only for the Broncos forward to cough the ball up. And Kurtis Morrin brushed past Walsh to plant the ball and score.
Broncos coach Michael Maguire probably wasn’t aware of the heated exchange between Walsh and Gosiewski, but he said he had no problem with those kinds of mid-game arguments.
“If you look at all teams that are rolling around in our competition, there’s people having strong conversations when you’re out there because it happens fast and quick, and they’re men having a conversation about something there that they care about,” Maguire said in his post-game press conference.
“The group that I’ve got there, they can have real strong conversations because they’re all good mates. But at the end of the day, they’re all about trying to win, so you’ve got to have those conversations.”
