The Roosters have proved one of the NRL's most successful clubs in recent years by having a "no dickheads" policy.

But fiery forward Spencer Leniu seems to have slipped under the radar at Bondi Junction, with his actions on Friday night overshadowing a brilliant performance by the Roosters against the Broncos.

Leniu - the man who was suspended last year for bringing the game into disrepute with his racial slur on Bronco Ezra Mam in Las Vegas, swore at Channel 9 commentator Johnathan Thurston on the sidelines on Friday night.

Leniu then doubled down on Saturday morning, taking to social media to vent his frustrations.

It is believed Leniu was angry that Thurston sprayed him for the Vegas incident, but didn't do the same to Mam when he crashed his car while under the influence of drugs, injuring several passengers in the other vehicle.

Leniu may well have his reasons - but the Roosters need to tell him to pull his head in.

His Vegas antics were way out of line and he has again attracted unwanted headlines with this latest outburst and calling a media interviewer a "f---wit" is just not on.

Leniu posted on Instagram.

"I never wanted to talk to the JT," Leniu wrote.

"He kept trying to come speak to me!

"I said, 'Lad idc (I don't care) if you hate me for what I did. But don't come up to me asking questions like we're Algood (sic).

"Don't be two face (sic). Hate me lad I'm 'eetswa' (sweet) with that.

"But don't be fake.

"I hate fake people."

The big forward needs to have a look at himself, or get someone at the Roosters to explain to him why this sort of behaviour is unacceptable.
