NRL round 13 teams late mail: 'Massive question mark' over Broncos star as clubs sweat on 28 Origin players

Of the 34 players who lined up at Suncorp Stadium for Wednesday's Origin series opener, 28 of them have been named to play NRL this weekend.

And while both the Blues coach and Maroons coach reported no injuries out of the interstate clash, there are sure to be multiple players withdraw from their club teams over the coming days.

St George Illawarra on Thursday announced rugby sevens convert Nathan Lawson will debut for the Dragons against Newcastle on Friday night.

Whether he lines up at centre in place of Queensland gun Val Holmes is yet to be confirmed.
