Braydon Trindall escapes ban for hit on Mitchell Moses in Sharks win

The battle of the halves heated up in the first half of Cronulla's win against the Eels after Braydon Trindall was placed on report for a hit on Mitchell Moses.
In the 34th minute of the Friday night match, Trindall found himself in trouble after whacking the Eels halfback off the ball.
As Parramatta attacked the line, Dylan Walker passed short to Sam Tuivaiti instead of going out the back to Moses.

Trindall had rushed out of the line and whacked Moses off the ball.
The Sharks playmaker escaped a ban with the NRL's match review committee offering him a $1000 fine. If he fights the charge at the judiciary and loses, he will be fined $1500.

"Mitchell Moses just got levelled out the back," Cooper Cronk said on Fox League.
"Fine in terms of the contact," he added when watching the replay.
Trindall then pointed towards Moses as both halves mouthed off to each other.
"What about it, it was good to see, bit of feeling, Moses getting knocked over by Trindall. Trindall into him, letting him know he wasn't happy about it," Michael Ennis said during Fox League's half-time coverage.
Earlier, the Sharks had hit the lead when KL Iro finished off a beautiful pass by Nicho Hynes.

But the penalty from Trindall gifted the Eels the lead when they attacked again and Josh Addo-Carr crossed in the corner.
Moments earlier, the Sharks had lost Siosifa Talakai for the match when he was knocked out. The bench utility had just entered the play and coughed the ball up with his first hit-up.

Isaiah Iongi broke the line off the back of the assist but was tackled by Talakai, who knocked himself out when his head connected with the hip of Iongi.
His HIA was ruled a category one concussion.
After Addo-Carr's try, the Sharks grabbed the lead back when Briton Nikora scored just before the break.
Post half-time, the Sharks were first to score through Samuel Stonestreet.
Jesse Colquhoun was then binned for the Sharks moments later for a professional foul.
That didn't stop the tries with Cameron McInnes scoring while his side was down a man.
The Eels put themselves back in the contest with consecutive tries to Addo-Carr and then Dylan Brown with the score 22-18.
Despite the nervy moments, Cronulla sealed victory when Stonestreet crossed for his second in the 71st minute.
