The Broncos have bounced back spectacularly from a shock loss to Parramatta, smashing Wayne Bennett's Rabbitohs 60-14.

"How good's it watching that?" Andrew Johns said on Nine, praising Brisbane's attack.

It was a terrible start for South Sydney before the kick-off when the side was left without an 18th man.

Peter Mamouzelos was named in the jersey but ruled out with delayed concussion. Jamie Humphreys was also a late withdrawal with concussion.

Both sides embarked on a sluggish opening 15 minutes before Reece Walsh and Ezra Mam teamed up for a try to the latter.

Jack Gosiewski was next over but the Rabbitohs stayed in the hunt when Bayleigh Bentley-Hape crossed.

Kotoni Staggs extended the lead before Tallis Duncan scored after the half-time hooter with the score 18-8 at the break.

There was no magic Bennett half-time speech on this occasion as the Broncos went on a rampage.

In his return to first grade, Selwyn Cobbo crossed right after the break with a runaway try. Cobbo and Deine Mariner were both selected in place of Josiah Karapani and Jesse Arthars, who were dropped by Michael Maguire.

Ben Talty, Staggs, Mam and Walsh all collected four-pointers in the second half while Deine Mariner scored a double.

Lachlan Hubner was the only try-scorer for South Sydney.

In his 200th match for the Broncos, Ben Hunt was delighted post-match.

"I haven't had much luck in milestones, to be honest. To get a big one like that in front of our home fans, it's definitely one I'm going to enjoy," he told Nine's Marlee Silva.

Fittingly against his old club, Adam Reynolds moved past 2500 career points. Cameron Smith still holds the record on 2786.

Maguire was asked after the match about his selection decision on the wingers and described it as a "good headache to have".

"I'll sit down and work my way through. I've spoken to my four wingers about giving them an opportunity and they've done that," he added.

Next week the Broncos have a big test against Melbourne on Thursday while the Rabbitohs play the Titans on Sunday.
