Parramatta Eels NRLW player Kate Fallon stood down by NRL over assault charge

Parramatta Eels player Kate Fallon has been stood down by the NRLW and the club after she was charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm.

Fallon allegedly assaulted a 17-year-old girl in a Sydney unit block following an argument over a food delivery and will not take place in matches this weekend as per her ban.

The NRL has confirmed it has not decided yet if the ban will be permanent.

"Due to extenuating circumstances, the NRL will provide additional consideration to the player before determining whether further action is required, including the potential imposition of the no-fault stand down condition," a statement read.

Police will allege in court a 20-year-old woman, who has since been identified as Fallon, assaulted a teen girl at a complex in Chifley on July 17.

Fallon was taken to Maroubra Police Station and charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm.

"She was given conditional bail to appear before Waverley Local Court on Wednesday 14 August 2024," police said.

In a statement on Wednesday, the Eels said they were "aware of an incident" involving Fallon.

"The club has advised the NRL integrity unit as per our normal process," the spokesperson said.

"As it is a police matter, the club will not be making further comment at this time."
