Angus Crichton wins Brad Fittler Medal after stunning Origin series

Angus Crichton has been named the Brad Fittler Medal winner, capping his incredible comeback story.

Crichton won the Wally Lewis Medal for player of the series in the 2024 State of Origin, which NSW won 2-1.

The second-rower was enormous for NSW across all three matches and earned his first ever Brad Fittler Medal as a result.

Last year's winner was Brian To'o with James Tedesco, Tom Trbojevic and Nathan Cleary claiming the medal before him.

Crichton's success caps an incredible turnaround in form, after he wasn't selected in the 2023 series.

The second-rower was granted personal leave at the start of 2023 when he was diagnosed with bipolar disorder. The Roosters star went on to play 13 games last year.

The 2024 Sky Blues award went to Yasmin Clydsdale, while Jaime Chapman won NSW women's State of Origin player of the year.

The under 19s men's player of the year was Chevy Stewart while Kasey Reh won the women's award.

Canberra Raiders halfback Adam Cook was named NSW Cup player of the year. Leilani Wilson claimed the Harvey Norman NSW Women's Premiership player of the year.

Jake Trbojevic won the True Blue award.
