'We're focused on now': Benji Marshall dismisses Wests Tigers coaching speculation amid Robbie Farah exit

Benji Marshall has denied suggestions the Wests Tigers are searching for more experience in their coaching team as he prepares to part ways with assistant Robbie Farah.

Farah, who was a key piece to the Tigers' golden age that led to the 2005 premiership, is set to leave his role as assistant coach at the end of the season.

The announcement prompted speculation that the club was looking to bring a more experienced coach to help Marshall, who made his coaching debut at the start of the season.

Marshall has been struck with the harsh reality of what is potentially the club's third-straight wooden spoon result, with external noise heating up the pressure for the Tigers great.

"The coaching staff is always constantly evolving. We are always making plans for what we're going to do next year," Marshall said at the club's pre-match press conference.

"No one's ever said that (we need more experience). That's something that's popped up in the media."

The 39-year-old survived just four questions before he silenced any further questions on the matter.

"Where are we going? Listen, we have a game to play and all you want to talk about is stuff that's happening next year. That's next year. Let's talk about next year, next year.

"Everyone wants to know all the details because we've turned to this thing where we love to gossip. But we've got to play footy as well.

"Everyone wants to focus on next year, but we're worried about now because we've got a game to play this weekend. It's not the end of the season. When that time comes, we can address those things."
