State of Origin confirmed to return to Perth in 2025 and 2028
State of Origin will return to Perth in 2025 and 2028, the NRL has confirmed.
Following Saturday's round 23 double-header at Optus Stadium, the league confirmed the series would head west as part of the NRL's policy of having one neutral venue each year.
Both matches will be held at Optus Stadium. The statement did not say which games they would be in the series.

A healthy crowd of 59,721 attended Perth's first Origin clash in 2019, while 59,358 people went in 2022.

In a statement, ARL commissioner Kate Jones confirmed the body had entered into a deal with the WA government.
"State of Origin in Perth has been an outstanding success and we're delighted to be able to continue this partnership with the Western Australian government," she said.

"There is already strong support for rugby league in Western Australia and our ongoing commitment to grow the game in areas outside of rugby league heartlands will ensure even more people are attracted to the game by the biggest sporting rivalry in the country.
"We are privileged to bring State of Origin back to Perth."
Origin will return to Melbourne next year and again in 2026.
