Jarome Luai skips Penrith Panthers training after news of $6m Wests Tigers contract
Jarome Luai has reportedly skipped Penrith Panthers training, only two days after he broke the news to his teammates that he'd be joining the Wests Tigers.
According to 9News reporter Michael Chammas, Luai missed the Monday session with suggestions he needed a break from the club after making the tough call.
While it hasn't been confirmed by Luai, the Tigers or Panthers, the five-eighth has reportedly signed a $6 million five-year contract with Wests.

9News Sydney's cameras captured Luai addressing his teammates on Saturday before he was congratulated by several teammates.

"Luai's representatives have since informed the club that Jarome needs time away from the club, he wouldn't be at training, to deal with the fallout of what has been rather a dramatic weekend," Chammas said on 9news Sydney.
"... there's no doubt there'll be Tigers fans wondering if Jarome Luai is contemplating an early release from the reigning premiers."
After The Sydney Morning Herald broke the story around Luai's rich deal with the Tigers, the three-time premiership winner posted on Instagram that nothing was official yet.
"No pen to paper here. I'll let you know when a deal is done," he wrote on his story.
