Penrith is set to announce long contract extensions for its coach and superstar halfback.

The Panthers have called a press conference for Wednesday morning where the new deals for Ivan and Nathan Cleary will be confirmed.

The Sydney Morning Herald reports the father and son premiership duo have agreed to remain at the club until at least the end of 2027 - five more seasons after this one.

The Cleary pair led Penrith to its first premiership in 18 years last season, after missing out in the grand final in 2020.

Nathan is already considered the best current halfback in the game, and league great Andrew Johns believes the young No.7 could end his career as one of the best of all time.
