FULL TIME: Sharks win 30-14
What an ending to the round.
The final 40 minutes at 4 Pines Park looked like it could head in any direction, but the Sharks held on and claimed the win.
"We've seen teams come from behind all weekend so we got told to just stay in there," Braydon Trindall said post-match on Nine.
"(Fitzy) will be impressed. We always talk about scoring points late. We win the game early and score points late.
"He'll be happy with that but there is always a few things we could fix."
Another one
Just when we thought the game could be heading into a field goal situation, the Sharks have put two tries on the board.
Three minutes passed since Ronaldo Mulitalo powered over, KL Iro has added another four points to the board.
It was a poor defensive effort from Manly, with an offload, dummy pass and flick of the ball opening a gap for Iro to run.
The Sharks lead 30-14.
Mulitalo strikes
This could be the try that decides the result.
Ronaldo Mulitalo has darted over the line to score the Sharks fourth try of the match.
The Sharks looked like they were setting up a field goal attempt but the pass out to Nicho Hynes was not a good one to set that up.
Hynes powered back towards the line before flicking the ball to Billy Burns, who sent a beautiful kick through to perfectly bounce up into the hands of Mulitalo.
26-14.
Sharks successful challenge
The Sharks have challenged a knock on call against Will Kennedy, claiming their player did not compete in an airborne contest.
The five-eighth leapt in the air after Manly made a kick and the ball makes direct contact with Tom Trbojevic.
The ball then falls from Trbojevic's hands into Kennedy's arm and is declared a knock on by Manly.
Had it gone the other way, it would have been a tough challenge for the Sharks given the incident occurred inside their 10m.
The Sharks are back in possession.
Sharks are in
The Sharks are back in front courtesy of a dropped ball by Reuben Garrick.
Billy Burns pulled Garrick to the floor in-goal just centimetres from the dead ball line, which forced the ball to come out in front of Braydon Trindall.
The five-eighth was quick to put a hand to the ball and claim the try, but a small melee breaks out behind him.
"Someone had plenty to say to Garrick on the ground, that's why the Manly players have reacted," Andrew Johns said.
Referee Gerard Sutton was seen pleading with players to separate and return to their respective areas before he finally awarded the try.
Nicho Hynes nails the kick and it's 20-14 in favour of the Sharks.
Crowd attendance
The official crowd attendance for this Mother's Day clash is 15,823.
All of which are roaring for their team.
Scores locked up
The Sharks are pinged for a player being offside inside the 10m and Manly take the opportunity to level the scores.
Reuben Garrick nails the kick from 10 out and the scores are level at 14-all.
Game on.
Sharks denied
Will Kennedy looked to have extended the margin to six points over the hosts but referee Gerard Sutton is not convinced.
A kick across the field was contested by four players and bounced back towards Kennedy, who swept up the ball and planted it down in goal.
But the Bunker confirms the ball went forward off a Sharks hand and the game remains two points the difference.
"Manly look like they are running downhill," Andrew Johns said on Nine.
