What a win for the Tigers

Matt Bungard

Two weeks in a row, the Tigers win by a point. Souths don't get it back from the short kick-off and that's that!

Incredible stuff - Michael Maguire was a dead man walking and thats now back-to-back wins against the Eels and Rabbitohs. Wow.

Tigers take the lead with a Brooks field goal!

Jackson Hastings has missed two field goal attempts - and hilariously, Jai Arrow one at the other end when play broke down on the last for Souths - but as Jock Madden took the shot, Damien Cook charged it down and eventually ended up in the ball, but it hit Arrow next to him who was accidentally offside!

The Tigers get the ball back with a golden chance to win it and Luke Brooks makes no mistake from 20 out!

Wests go ahead, and then we're quickly level again!

What a weird game this is! Lachlan Ilias goes to the line and looks to throw it out the back, Campbell Graham runs as a decoy but the pass hits him and goes to ground - Luke Brooks is there to pick up the crumbs and go the distance for a gift try!

Souths need to find something, and after a bomb is spilled by makeshift fullback Staford To'a, Ilias finds Keaon Koloamatangi with a lovely short ball for the backrower to dive over.

Some game this - it's been scrappy at times but tense throughout! Tied up with less than ten to go!

Tigers tie the game - grandstand finish coming up

Another error from Souths, and straight from the scrum it's a well-worked move to the right and Nofoaluma has a double!

The sideline kick from Hastings smacks into the post and we're all square going into the final 20 minutes.

Laurie facing a few weeks on the sideline

Matt Bungard

Daine Laurie didn't return for the second half, and it looks like the Tigers may be without their fullback for a couple of weeks.

Mansour puts Souths ahead!

Matt Bungard

The Rabbitohs make it count in their last minute with a man advantage - a lovely offload from Mansour puts Campbell Graham away down the right and Keaon Koloamatangi is there in support before being tackled a metre out from the line.

It looked like he may have dropped it but the touchie remains unmoved and Souths score a tackle later as Mansour dives on a grubber!

Wests get a man binned just before the break

Matt Bungard

An incredible turning point late on here - Wests continue to press and press but Josh Mansour fields a bomb and manages to get an offload away to Campbell Graham, who runs 40 metres before feeding his halfback Lachlan Ilias who tries to sprint away to the corner.

He's caught about a metre short by Jacob Liddle in a brilliant chase, and then on the next play, Alex Twal tackles someone while offside and is sin binned!

Despite being down by two, Souths decline the shot at goal with a minute left in the half and instead, Blake Taaffe puts it down.

The Tigers will hold on to a 12-10 lead at the break, but will play the first eight or nine minutes of the second down a player.

The Bunnies hang on after a glut of Tigers possession

Matt bungard

The last 10 minutes of this game has been played entirely in Souths' half - as a combination of errors, penalties and repeat sets has largely kept the ball in the Tigers hands.

Somehow, despite all the pressure, the biggest let-off actually came in Wests' favour.

David Nofoaluma blindly threw the ball back infield as the errant pass was going over the sideline, and it sat up perfectly for Cody Walker to pick up and with Alex Johnston next to him and nobody in a Tigers jersey in sight, it looked like a gift try for Souths against the run of play.

Instead, Walker spilled the ball while trying to pick it up and the Tigers remained on the offensive - before Ken Maumalo spilled a kick that would have extended their lead.

Johnston gives Souths the lead, but not for long

Matt Bungard

Souths somehow, despite being down a man, have a second try! This time Johnston does it all himself and then after the kick-off, the Rabbitohs can't get through their set with Keaon Koloamatangi coming up with an error.

Wests spread it left and a beautiful pass from Luke Brooks has Ken Maumalo over in the corner - and Jackson Hastings nails a sideline kick to give them the lead again!

10-0 down against the 12-man Rabbitohs, 12-0 up against the 13-man Rabbitohs. Work that out.
