Rugby league in Las Vegas ultimate guide: NRL stars' incredible but 'daunting' day trip to Grand Canyon

The NRL's footprint has not only reached Las Vegas, but the Grand Canyon.

Days out from this year's rugby league extravaganza at Allegiant Stadium, several NRL stars were treated to an incredible day trip across the border that splits the US states of Nevada and Arizona.

Canberra Raiders halfback Jamal Fogarty was among those who took in the wondrous sights at Eagle Point from the famous Grand Canyon Skywalk — a glass, horseshoe-shaped bridge that allows people to walk beyond the canyon walls.

"This is my day off. When I'm in Canberra I like to chill out and do things away from footy, and for this to be on our day off here it's worked out so well," Fogarty told 9News.

"It's a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to come out here and see this wonderful place.

"Even better, I didn't have to pay for it; the club sorted that out for a player appearance," Fogarty added, drawing a barrel of laughs.

But the Canberra playmaker admitted being 4000 feet above the canyon made for a "daunting" experience.

Who's playing and when?

The first of four games will see Super League clubs the Wigan Warriors and Warrington Wolves square off from 8.30am on Sunday (AEDT).

Next up will be the Raiders' clash with the New Zealand Warriors from 11am, before Australia and England collide in a women's Test match from 1pm.

And the final game of the Vegas extravaganza will see the Penrith Panthers and Cronulla Sharks do battle.

Where are they playing?

All four games will be played at Allegiant Stadium, situated adjacent to the famous Las Vegas Strip.

It is a 65,000-seat stadium and is the home of the Las Vegas Raiders NFL team.

Allegiant Stadium hosted the 2024 Super Bowl between the Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers, which took place only a few weeks before the NRL's inaugural Vegas expedition.

How can I watch or listen?

The match between the Panthers and Sharks will broadcast live and free on Nine and 9Now, as will the women's Test match between Australia and England.

Nine's 2GB radio will broadcast all four matches: the Super League game, the two NRL fixtures and the Test match.
