Klemmer cops one match NRL ban

Canterbury's David Klemmer will miss the first game of the NRL season after being banned over a dangerous contact charge at the judiciary.
Klemmer was hit with a grade-two charge for a tackle on Melbourne's Kenny Bromwich in the trial between the two sides last weekend at Belmore Sportsground.
However, the charge was downgraded to a grade one on Tuesday night and he will miss the Bulldogs' season opener against Manly.
