Sydney Roosters forward Martin Kennedy is facing a two-year drug ban, according to reports.

ASADA have incriminating text messages from the former Bronco and are set to issue an infraction notice, Channel Seven has claimed.

The notice will be served after the NRL’s integrity unit meets at 9am (AEST) today.

Kennedy, who was named on an extended bench for the clash against the Panthers this weekend, is expected to be stood down with immediate effect.

The 26-year-old returned to the Roosters after a season in Brisbane where he could not cement a position in the top grade.

Kennedy has been linked with ASADA’s investigation before, with a 2013 News Corp report naming the prop as one of two players to be interviewed by the anti-doping authority about his “relationship with a central figure in the probe.”
