'Oh my': Massive rugby league hits go viral in USA, picked up by House of Highlights

While some pro sports have made it back to the field across the globe - fans starved of contact sports have had plenty of NRL to feast, with the sport's brutality making waves overseas.

Round six was a perfect advertisement for the code to garner new supporters in other markets, with Parramatta's Maika Sivo and Dallin Watene-Zelezniak dishing up some of the biggest hits seen in the NRL.

Sivo put on a bump for the ages on James Tedesco on his way to running over the Roosters fullback to score a huge try. Tedesco had to leave the field after the clash and is in doubt for his side's round seven clash.

Fox Sports commentator Andrew Voss couldn't hide his excitement.

"Call an ambulance, maybe call a priest, Sivo has run over the top of Tedesco. What a moment at Bankwest.

"He just copped everything from Sivo. Bravely put his body on the line with Sivo full head of steam up."

Then on Sunday poor old Matt Moylan copped Watene-Zelezniak's wrath in a perfect blindside shot that rattled the Sharks star.

"Look at the contact on Matt Moylan — Dallin Watene-Zelezniak has knocked Matt Moylan back to the Sutherland Shire," Fox Sports' Matt Russell. "(Moylan) bounces straight back up amazingly, what contact. This was absolutely brutal."

Both body shots caught the attention of US sports fans - with The House of Highlights Instagram page posting both hits on Monday.

The channel boasts a following of 17.5 million, and posted with the caption: "Oh my."

The video was viewed more than 100,000 times in the first three hours after it was posted.

The post received over 160K likes and American sports fans again admired the physicality on show.

"These dudes are different," said one fan.

"I play football but this is the most manly sport out there," wrote another.

One added: "Just me or these guys look way stronger than NFL players?"

"This is why rugby needs to be nationally televised in the US," another wrote.
