How bans affect Qld Origin depth

CAMP NOT SO QUALITY - HOW EMERGING MAROONS CURFEW BREAKERS' BANS HURT QUEENSLAND'S DEPTH FOR 2016 STATE OF ORIGIN SERIES

Players now not considered for 2016 Origin:

VALENTINE HOLMES: Could have slotted into Maroons backline to be reshuffled after centre Justin Hodges' retirement.

CAMERON MUNSTER: Another who could have slipped seamlessly into Slater's boots. Had breakout 2015 doing just that at Melbourne for second half of 2015 NRL season.

BEN HUNT: Brisbane playmaker has already played Test football and considered on standby for veteran Queensland No.7 Cooper Cronk.

ANTHONY MILFORD: Arguably the biggest body blow to Kevin Walters. He had sung the pivot's praises at the Emerging Origin camp press conference, saying "Blind Freddy" could see Milford was destined for Origin.

EDRICK LEE: Considered a surprise choice as 18th man for Origin III last year but the lanky Raiders flyer was clearly in the mix for a 2016 nod.

DYLAN NAPA: The fiery red-headed prop would have added much needed new blood to an ageing Maroons pack led by Matt Scott and Nate Myles.

CHRIS GREVSMUHL: Mobile Indigenous All Stars backrower appeared on the cusp of a Maroons call-up and would have provided a tempting bench forward option for Walters.

JARROD WALLACE: The Broncos bench prop was a bit of an Origin smokey but had momentum after playing all but one of grand finalist Brisbane's games last year in a breakout 2015.
