Pure chaos as Roosters celebrate grand final victory in style
Play hard, party hard – that’s the best way to sum up how the Sydney Roosters have celebrated their first NRL grand final victory since 2019.
In a dramatic clash with Newcastle on Sunday night, the star-studded Tricolours fought back and held on to win 19-18 and claim the premiership.

The celebrations started on the field as players and staff walked around Accor Stadium with the trophy, catching up with friends and family.
Spencer Leniu made his way into the grandstand and met up with former Penrith teammates Jarome Luai, Stephen Crichton and Brian To’o.
Nat Butcher and Victor Radley, two local Eastern Suburbs boys, found some of their mates as well and were swarmed for selfies and photos.
Once the players got back into the sheds, the beers were flowing and the tunes were pumping, before Leniu and Radley led the team song, bashing away at an esky as champagne and water was sprayed throughout the locker room.
Players then walked out for a reflective moment on the field after friends, family and media had left the stadium, soaking in the success of 2026.
From there, the party really started and social media was full of photos and videos from the stadium, back to Easts Leagues and continued into the early hours.
There was a great video posted to the club’s social media channels of the players walking up a stairwell and onto the roof, lifting the trophy as hundreds of fans watched on from the Bondi Junction street below them.
Angus Crichton, who played his last game for the Roosters, shared plenty of bits and pieces from the celebrations on his Instagram page.
He was spotted with a toy Rooster attached to his head, posted a video dancing alongside Siua Wong and Tommy Talau, while also snapping a picture with well-known Chook Pen member Brendan “Haynesy” Haynes.
Young gun Benaiah Ioelu, who didn’t even get on the field against the Knights, showed off his self-deprecating humour on social media.
“When you ain’t do nun [sic] on the group project and still get an A,” Ioelu wrote on his Instagram story, accompanied by a photo of his premiership ring.
There would have been plenty of sore heads as the party continued at Monday’s fan fest at Moore Park, where truckloads of supporters turned out.

Daly Cherry-Evans sounded worse for wear as he took the microphone on stage, while both NRL and NRLW coaches Trent Robinson and John Strange got up and danced for the crowd – albeit, Robinson was somewhat more reluctant.
The champion playmaker, who is off to the Super League next season, then said the Roosters would be off to Clovelly to keep the good times rolling.
