Former Melbourne Storm halfback Cooper Cronk unveiled in Sydney Roosters jersey

Cooper Cronk wore the purple Melbourne Storm jumper for 17 seasons, played 323 games for the club and won two premierships with them but now fans have been treated to their first sight of the Australian halfback in Sydney Roosters colours.

Cronk, 34, who recently fulfilled his commitments for the Kangaroos after winning the World Cup, was unveiled wearing a tricolours jersey on the club's Twitter feed with the caption, "Cooper's a Rooster!" as the club continues its preparations for the 2018 NRL season.

Cronk's decision to join the 2013 premiers prompted former halfback and favourite son Mitchell Pearce to pull out of the remaining years of his contract before he found a new home with the Newcastle Knights.

The Roosters have recruited strongly for next season and recently unveiled their other prized recruit James Tedesco in a recorded segment for the club's website.

The addition of both players has seen the club installed as $5 favourites over Melbourne and North Queensland to win the competition next year.
