Sharks start grand final with an old school try from the back of the scrum
It was a move from the old days, and it gave the Cronulla Sharks a dream start in their pursuit of a first NRL premiership.
Paul Gallen and Ben Barba turned on a scrum move straight from the 1980s to score the first try of the 2016 grand final.
From a scrum deep in Storm territory, Gallen picked up the ball and found a flying Barba on his inside.

The Sharks were hoping the Storm back-rowers didn’t break from the scrum quickly enough. They didn’t and the first try of the NRL decider followed.
