Corey Norman pleads guilty to drug possession

Parramatta Eels player Corey Norman has been fined $800 after being convicted for drug possession.
The 25-year-old NRL player was charged after being caught with MDMA capsules and muscle relaxants at Sydney's The Star casino in May.

Norman made a brief court appearance at Downing Centre Local Court this morning, where he pleaded guilty to possessing a prohibited drug and possessing a prescribed restricted substance.
He was fined $400 for each of the charges.
His defence barrister, Murugan Thangaraj, has asked the court not to record a conviction however the matters were marked on Norman's record.
