David Fifita gives verbal commitment to remain at Broncos, Danny Weidler reports

David Fifita has given a verbal commitment that he will remain at the Brisbane Broncos.
According to Nine NRL reporter Danny Weidler, the Broncos were on Tuesday night resigned to losing the Queensland Origin back-rower to the Gold Coast Titans.
Yet Fifita called a top Brisbane official on Wednesday morning and indicated that he would stay put, snubbing a $5 million, five-year contract offer from Gold Coast. The Broncos have not gone on the record with the development.

It has been reported that the Broncos could only offer Fifita $700,000 per season. Titans official, rugby league Immortal and Test coach Mal Meninga had made Fifita's signature his No.1 priority but may have fallen short.
