Knights legend Andrew Johns has detailed the hilarious moment he was swarmed by some rowdy Sydney Roosters fans on NRL grand final morning.
Johns, who now resides in the Eastern Suburbs, was spotted driving out of home when he was flocked by rival fans, cheekily denying him an exit.

The champion halfback, who played in Newcastle’s only two other grand final appearances in 1997 and 2001, eventually made it to Accor Stadium and detailed the crazy events, proving that Roosters supporters have some fire in them too.
“I got bombarded,” Johns said on Nine.
“Look at them, they’ve got a skeleton of me, then they start rocking my car. It was hilarious. I feared for my life ... no I didn’t.”
Earlier in the week, a sign was plastered near Johns’ house that labelled him a “blow in” and told the eighth Immortal to go back to Newcastle.
Johns also jokingly said that his son Louis, who recently finished up at Waverley College, had been “kidnapped” by Roosters fans.
Despite living in the area and coming through the Roosters’ junior representative system, the younger Johns will be donning a Knights jersey on Sunday.
It’s been a rollercoaster few weeks for Johns, who has been riding the wave of Newcastle’s surprising run into the NRL decider.
Last weekend, Johns was spotted in tears during the dying stages of the Knights’ dramatic win over Penrith that sent them into the grand final.
