Punter wins big as ridiculous Super Bowl bet prevails

One very daring and lucky TAB customer has bagged $100,200 after the Tampa Bay Buccaneers pummeled the Kansas City Chiefs 31-9 in today's Super Bowl.

The punter's extraordinary bet was made on September 2 when he placed an $8,350 wager on the Buccaneers to win Super Bowl LV a week before the start of the 2020 season.

The Buccaneers were $51 to win this season's NFL championship minutes after the Chiefs were victorious in Super Bowl LIV, but the Buccaneers rocketed to $11 as soon as Tom Brady had signed from the New England Patriots.

TAB had the Buccaneers at $2.40 and the Chiefs at $1.60 ahead of kick-off in today's Super Bowl, but Tampa Bay gained favouritism in the second quarter when they were ahead 7-3.

The Buccaneers are $9 to win Super Bowl LVI next season, while the Chiefs are $6.50 favourites to bounce back from today's defeat.
