NFL star's mangled hand revealed to the world

Grisly images have been taken of New York Giants star Jason Paul-Pierre’s hand after he blew off a finger during a Fourth of July fireworks accident.

The photos, which were printed in the New York Daily News, show that the Giants franchise player is missing the index finger on his right hand while his thumb and middle finger are bandaged.

Despite the injuries, the New York Giants have refused to rule out a return to the field for their star defensive end.

As a purely defensive player who rarely touches the ball, Pierre-Paul has said that his ability to perform will not be affected by the missing finger.

“I can't think of the last time my index finger got me a sack,” he wrote on Twitter.
