Frozen whistle stumps NFL referee
With parts of Australia enduring intense heatwaves it’s hard to imagine circumstances faced by this NFL referee on the weekend.
With temperatures bordering on freezing during the NFL’s AFC Wildcard game in Pittsburgh between the Steelers and the Miami Dolphins, an official was forced to the
sideline to fix his whistle after it became frozen while on the field of play.

Eventually he got the whistle to work but not without some intense shaking to get the pee moving again.
At least the refs get paid to be out in the cold, but full credit goes to the fans who got smashed by the freezing temperatures just to support their team.
