Patrick Mahomes Sr forced into embarrassing reveal following 'altercation' during Super Bowl week
It's been a tough couple of weeks for the Mahomes family.
First, Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs were soundly beaten in Super Bowl LIX, with the star player having one of the worst games of his career.
This week Mahomes' father Patrick Mahomes Sr. had to make an embarrassing admission about footage that caught him getting into an altercation the week leading into the big game.

The father of the three-time Super Bowl champion and former Major League Baseball star was seen arguing with another ex-MLB star John Rocker, and had to be held back, in what onlookers thought was a genuine biff.
However, in the aftermath of the Chiefs Super Bowl loss, Mahomes admitted it was all a setup.
It soon emerged that the former baseball rivals are set to fight each other at one of Barstool Sports' 'Rough N' Rowdy' promotions on April 19.
It all came out after TMZ reported that officials questioned the 57-year-old Mahomes Sr, who was recently put on probation after a third DUI charge.
Court documents showed that Mahomes Sr. was granted permission to go to New Orleans to watch his son between February 7 and February 10.

But the vision on social media prompted questions from officials, who also pointed out that he missed a urine test on February 11.
During questioning, Mahomes Sr revealed the argument "was a staged altercation to get publicity for (a) celebrity boxing match that was set to take place in April 2025."
Mahomes is reportedly set to be paid at least $85,000 ($AUD133,752) for the fight but that figure could rise depending on Pay-Per-View numbers.
The 57-year-old reportedly avoided further punishment but was warned that if he found himself in trouble again, an application to revoke his probation could be filed.

Rocker and Mahomes Sr. were members of rival teams in the 1999 and 2000 seasons - with Rocker on the Braves and Mahomes Sr. on the Mets.
Mahomes Sr was arrested for driving while intoxicated in 2008, 2019 and 2024, and last year was banned from driving after spending 10 days in jail and is now under "intense supervision."
