Triple Eight Racing become first team to reveal Holden tribute livery for Adelaide 500
Triple Eight have released their long-awaited Holden tribute they will run at this weekend's Adelaide 500 - the final race meeting for the brand in the sport.
Triple Eight ran as the factory Holden squad between 2017 and 2020, and will stick with The General in the Gen3 era next year, running Camaros.
Star driver Shane van Gisbergen - who wrapped up the championship last time out on the Gold Coast - also confirmed he would run the #1 as a tribute to the brand, which is the most successful in the sport's history.

"We're in a lucky position with the championship wrapped up that we can do something cool like this," van Gisbergen said.

"It's a thank you to the entire team because I know they've always loved running the #1 and have truly earnt it this year. It also suits with the last race for Holden running the #1 on the side of the car.
"I've got memories of Jamie (Whincup) and Skaifey (Mark Skaife) running the #1 at the start of the season and winning on the streets of Adelaide, and it was the manufacturing home of Holden, so hopefully it will be a meaningful tribute to the many employees past and present."
Triple Eight team owner and former champion Whincup said the fall of the chequered flag on Sunday would be an emotional moment.

"There's certainly no underestimating the significance of this year's Adelaide 500 - the last Supercars Championship event for the roaring Lion," he said.
"Seeing the Holden badge cross the finish line for the final time on Sunday on its home soil will no doubt pull a heart string."
The mostly white livery features several old Holden logos and badges.
Fellow former factory Holden squad Walkinshaw Andretti United - who ran as the Holden Racing Team between 1990 and 2016 - will also run a tribute livery this weekend.
The Adelaide 500 will make its triumphant return this weekend after two years. Cars will be on track from Thursday.
