Monster crash shakes off-road racers

A driver and his co-pilot have miraculously escaped injury after their vehicle was hit and sent rolling violently at an off-road event in Las Vegas.

The pair were competing for Vest Racing in last week's Best in the Desert Racing Series in Las Vegas when their truck was clipped by a buggy at just the right force and angle to result in a wild crash.Their vehicle rolled several times before coming to a rest as the buggy continued over a jump.Footage of the crash, which is only now going viral, has triggered disbelief among many racing enthusiasts, astonished that neither driver or co-pilot was injured.

Vest Racing said they'd been inundated with 'prayers' for the pair.

"A crash in the infield of the short course portion of the race cut the day very short for the team," Vest Racing wrote on its Facebook page."Coming off a jump, the Class 1 buggy next to our truck turned into Troy and Geno, sending #46 sailing through the air and rolling violently."Praise God both Geno and Troy were not seriously hurt."Their restraints, helmets and other safety equipment did their job. They will feel it tomorrow for sure.Their truck is another story.It was extensivly damaged in the crash and now requires a complete re-build.
