Mime artist helps pro baseball players with warm-up

Warm ups are one of the biggest chores for professional athletes.

Well, MLB’s Chicago Cubs have attempted to make the monotonous routine a tad more interesting by employing a mime artist to take their players through the various exercises that prepare them to play.

Footage from the team’s wacky spring training shows a mime artist – makeup and all – drum along to the song playing in the background before re-enacting the actions of the oblivious players, who continue going about their business.

Expectations are high that 2016 is the year the Cubs finally break the team’s 108-year World Series drought but you would never know that going off the team’s spring training.

The mime artist is the latest quirky move from manager Joe Maddon, who has had clowns entertain the team, karaoke and all but thrown out the team’s dress code.
